Please take 10 seconds to look at these wounded and dead children and their wailing mothers, after Sri Lanka shelled Mullivaikkal makeshift Hospital in the "No Fire zone" in North East of Sri Lanka - for the 3RD TIME in a week (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhRWVLWPtnw).

We plead that you to immediately intervene and invoke R2P (Responsibility to Protect) to save the Tamil men, women and children inside "No fire zone" and inside the barbed wire fenced military operated camps in the North East of Sri Lanka - the traditional Tamil homeland.

We thank you for the interest and concern US is taking in this conflict. British Foreign Minister David Milliband, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, Federal Minister of European and International Affairs of Austria Michael Spindelegger took a strong stance after UN briefing, and slammed Sri Lanka for grave human right violations inside the "safe zone" and in the "IDP camps" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhRWVLWPtnw).

The time is right to do the right thing.

We request that you act TODAY. More than 10,000 people have died in the last 100 days. The ongoing massacre of civilians and continued shell attacks on the make shift hospitals - that care for the wounded of a traumatized and miserable IDP population - CAN NOT and MUST NOT happen under you watch Sir.

We appeal that Independent Monitors and INGOs providing Food and Medicine be sent to the Tamil regions immediately in the name of Human Rights and Humanity, with or without Sri Lanka's consent.
