URGENT ATTENTION NEEDED

Dear President Obama, Prime Minister Brown, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, President Sarkozy,

Please take action NOW and immediately Air Drop Food, Medicine and Drinking water to the Starving population in the "Safe Zone" of Northern Sri Lanka.

It's been nearly a week since UN Under Secretary General John Holmes acknowledged the dire situation and the severe shortage of food in the "safe zone" and said that the food supply was barely enough only for a day. Dr. Susan Rice, U.S. Permanent Representative, said "we share Under-Secretary-General Holmes' disappointment that the Government of Sri Lanka has not yet allowed a UN humanitarian team into the conflict zone to facilitate relief operations and the safe evacuation of civilians"

"Since the outset of this latest crisis in January, the Government of Sri Lanka has exterminated about 7000 Tamils in Vanni, certainly a "substantial part" of the Tamil population in Vanni and Sri Lanka. If not stopped now, the Government of Sri Lanka's toll of genocide against the Tamils could far exceed the recent horrors of Srebrenica," warns Professor Boyle of University of Illinois College of Law and an international expert on Genocide

Sri Lanka continues to use food and medicine as weapons of war. Forced starvation is an act of genocide and has been going for a very long time.

Already many people, especially children and elderly have died due to malnutrition.

Please ACT now and immediately Air Drop Food, Medicine and Drinking water. This mission can be easily undertaken by your government on a purely HUMANITARIAN basis.

Your timely action will save lives and contribute to humanity and world peace in the long run.

We simply can not abandon these starving civilians including thousands of children.
