TO THE URGENT ATTENTION OF UNITED NATIONS
United Nations - New York, Geneva, Canberra
The statements made by United Nations high ranking officials Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, Mr. Nambiar and Mr. Holmes, on Sri Lanka, reflect UNs behaviour before Srebrenica genocide - where 8000 Bosnian men and boys were killed inside a similar "safe zone".
** United Nations is now setting the scene for Thousands of Disappearances in Sri Lanka as the entire Vanni Tamil population falls into the hands of the Sri Lankan Army in a region where there is NO media, NO UN or Aid agencies to report on war crimes.
The United Nations remained quiet when Sri Lanka ordered all Aid Agencies and Media out. Now, leaked United Nations documents indicate 6,432 civilians have been killed in the fighting since Jan. 20 and another 13,946 have been wounded. Why is United Nations not releasing the casualty figures?
Furthermore, Sri Lanka claims that 35,000 civilians have crossed over into government territory. It is reported that only 5000 have been transferred to the military run detention centres in Jaffna.
WHERE ARE THE REST?
WHO IS MONITORING THE "SCREENING PROCESS"?
** Tamil Diaspora holds Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, Mr. Nambiar and Mr.Holmes accountable for aiding and abetting ongoing war crimes in Sri Lanka. They have failed to report the true situation.
"This same type of deliberate stalling, delaying and obfuscation by United Nations Officials preceded and occurred during the course of the genocidal massacre at Srebrenica" said Prof. Francis Boyle, Professor of International Law at the University of Illinois College of Law, commenting on the denial at the United Nations to have Security Council hearings on the humanitarian situation in Sri Lanka.
Professor Boyle states "UN Officials are all guilty of aiding and abetting Sri Lanka's genocide against the Tamils in violation of the 1948 Genocide Convention". "Under the terms of the United Nations Chapter XV, the UN Secretariat and thus these UN Officials are legally independent of the United Nations Security Council. These UN Officials have a separate and independent obligation to uphold the Purposes and Principles of the UN Charter no matter what the U.N. Security Council Members might tell them to do." Professor Boyle further states "UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon must immediately convene an Emergency Meeting of the Security Council."
80 million Tamils across the world are agitating at continuing slaughter of Tamils and UNs inaction. They hold the involved UN officials as well as the War Criminals in Sri Lanka who are responsible for large scale massacre of civilians and bombing of HOSPITALS, accountable for the Genocide.
Yours Truly,
